1095 Blue-Finished Card Scraper

The card scraper is a classic woodworking tool capable of producing an exceptionally smooth surface and working effectively across almost any grain direction.

Our card scrapers are made from 1095 spring steel, hardened and tempered to a Rockwell C hardness of 48–51. Unlike traditional scrapers with a sheared edge, the edges on our scrapers are ground flat and square, so they don't require filing back before honing.

The faces are polished and heat-blued for rust resistance, then protected with a light coat of wax. The square-ground edges require only light honing before you can turn a burr and put the scraper to work.
