12" Carcass Saw

For precise cuts across the grain, this is the perfect saw.  With a thin .020" plate for a thin kerf and a 1/4" x 5/8" back to keep everything in line. All measurements are +/- 1/8". Backs are precisely slotted to a tight fit with the saw back. 

Our saw plates are made from 1095 spring steel, hardened and tempered to Rc 48-51. Blades are deblued, but not sanded or polished, expect minor scratches from material handling. Wet/dry sandpaper can be used to remove these and take it to the level of finish you like. Our Carcass kit is has the teeth punched at fifteen degrees for crosscut but can easily be filled to five degrees if a rip tooth is needed.  

This Kit will allow you to quickly build a good daily user or with some more time you can make an heirloom quality saw.

Saw Bolts - ( one .75' medallion and two .50" saw bolts )

Handle plans including one Medium and one Large drawing.
